If your child is having difficulty at school with reading, writing or social skills or if your child finds it hard to follow directions or is difficult to understand, speech pathology can benefit.

Intervention usually starts with an assessment to determine the child’s areas of strength and weakness. For younger children assessment involves playing with the child and gathering information from the parents. Therapy sessions are specifically catered to each child’s individual needs.

Speech Pathology can help children develop their communication skills in a wide variety of areas including:

Speech – sounds used when talking
Language - comprehension and use of words and sentences
Literacy - reading and writing skills
   Late Talkers
Hearing Impairment (including auditory processing disorder)
   Children with special needs
